​Welcome to my Author's Page. I'm just starting out with the writing business so I'm sure that this will currently seem a bit on the boring side.​ I hope that as I continue my journey into the realm of writing that this site will slowly evolve.
NaNoWriMo 2016 currently underway!!
And the "Great Debate" rages on. Independent authors such as myself & my friend Jaime Buncie are sometimes looked down upon by other "published" authors out there. I'm not saying that ALL published authors do this...just a few.
And yes...WE ARE PROUD PUBLISHED AUTHORS.
Independent or "Indie" authors take on the responsability of doing EVERYTHING by themselves...from editing to cover design to layout to promoting & everything in-between.
As indies, we know that we will not make a ton of money but we do this for the fact that we have these story ideas & we want to share them with others. All we want is equality...to be treated like the "big company" published author.
If you get a chance, you should give an indie author's book a look.
XCon 2014 has come & gone. This year's con was extra special for me since I was a Guest Author & I was able to share this with my fellow authors/friends.
Jante Durbin (on my right) is an established author/publisher. She has written 3 books that I know of & runs Whimsical Publishing Company & also Yellow Marker Publishing Services. This was the first time we had met face to face & we had a blast.
Jaime Buncie (on my left) is an Indie author like myself. I have know her for over 9 years & this was the first time we have had a chance to get together in 5 years. It was just like "old times" with us. She has 2 books currently in print.
My wife Kim also attended this year & even brought her mom for a few hours. Seeing Capt'n Jack Sparrow was a major highlight for my mother-in-law & it is all she can talk about to this day.
